Great Lakes Weimaraner

Adoption & Rescue Center

To provide abandoned and surrendered Weimaraners of all ages a healthy environment to meet their many physical and emotional needs.

Great Lakes Weimaraner Rescue is embarking on a massive awareness and fundraising campaign to build a New Rescue & Adoption Center in West Michigan and we're pulling out all the stops! To help spread the word - "Average Andy" Lassner- The Executive Producer of the Ellen Show has recorded an awesome video pitch.

The GLWR Rescue Center will feature sprinklers, heating and air conditioning to ensure comfort and safety of the dogs all year.

Design features will ensure that the center is a welcoming place for Weimaraners, volunteers and adoptive families.

The “dog house” area will feature natural light and four season access to open-air runs.

An outdoor courtyard with a roof overhang will be used for adoption “meet and greets”, behavioral assessments and reconditioning training.

In addition to dog living spaces, plans include:

  • An intake and adoption office

  • Storage for first aid/medical and cleaning supplies, food, treats and toys

  • Laundry appliances and bathing/grooming equipment

We can’t create this space without you!

Please donate whatever you are able. Every dollar helps us create a safe space for these wonderful dogs.
